Before requesting a service call please check the following:
Furnace:

Check thermostat to ensure it is set to "Heat" mode
Check thermostat for proper temperature setting
Check for dirty filter
Ensure the electrical switch on the side of the furnace is in the "On" position
Check for blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker

Air Conditioning:

Check thermostat to ensure it is set to "Cooling" mode
Check thermostat for proper temperature setting
Check for dirty filter
Ensure the outdoor electrical disconnect switch is in the "On" position
Check for blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker
Ensure there is no debris, shrubs, etc. blocking air flow around the condenser
