Radiant Heating Systems

Catch the new wave in home heating comfort

Radiant floor and ceiling systems heat objects, not air, to provide superior comfort. Radiant systems work by circulating warm water through cross-linked polythylene tubing encased in the floor or ceiling. People are completely surrounded with radiant warmth, and the air temperature is uniform from floor to ceiling.
Radiant floor systems transfer heat to the floor turning it into a warm, mild radiator. Because the systems require only low water temperatures (between 90 and 130 degrees farenheit), a variety of energy alternatives is available. We can design a system to heat your whole house or a single room; we can control the system with one thermostat or provide room-by-room temperature control. Concrete Floors
Concrete Floors
In lower levels, basements and garages, radiant tubing is tied to the reinforcing mesh before the slab is poured. Radiant floor is easy and cost effective to install in concrete.

Radiant tubing is installed over suspended wood floors and covered with lightweight concrete.
Heat Transfer Plates, Suspended Floors
Radiant tubing is placed over the suspended wood floor. The tubing rests in heat transfer plates that radiate heat uniformly from the system into the floor above. This method is an alternative to lightweight concrete and is excellent for remodeling projects and home additions.

Ceilings
Ceilings
Radiant tubing and heat emission plates are attached to the ceiling joists or sheetrock. The ceilings radiate heat to people and objects much like a radiant floor.
Radiant ceiling heat provides all the same great benefits as radiant floor. Warm water circulates through tubing installed in the ceiling. Radiant ceiling is a perfect option for remodeling projects or new construction. Like radiant floor, the ceiling radiates comfortable, uniform and cost-effective warmth.
Ceilings
Vaulted entries are warmer and more efficient because radiant heat doesn't rise to the ceiling.

Radiant floor heat in the garage warms the cars. For the ultimate in carefree living, radiant heat under your driveway and steps melts snow and ice automatically.

Radiant floors in the bedroom and bath keep you warm and help keep the bathroom dry. In the mudroom your family's footwear dries and stays warm too!

Decorating is easy because with radiant heat there are no vents, baseboards or old-fashioned radiators to get in your way.

Heat distribution with forced-air is uneven. Most of the heat is concentrated at the ceiling. With radiant floor, the heat is concentrated at the floor where it is needed. So, you are comfortable at a lower thermostat setting - and that saves money on your monthly fuel bills.
